Meet Jen

Registered Occupational Therapist and Director of Kids Just Right

Jen is an enthusiastic and dedicated Peadiatric Occupational Therapist with over twenty years experience working in hospital, community and school settings in South Africa, London and Adelaide.
Jen was born and educated in South Africa. She worked in a number of Private Schools in South Africa providing Occupational Therapy services within a school environment to children with learning difficulties and developmental delays. Jen moved to the United Kingdom where she worked for 10 years in both public and private sectors. Jen worked in an Independent School for Children with Autism, an International School in Surrey and a busy private practice in Central London that specialized in treating children with sensory processing difficulties.
Since being in Australia Jen has worked in paediatric community settings that provided services to young children and their families. These services placed great emphasis on the relationship between parents and children and Jen is passionate about working within this relational framework. In this context Jen has undergone Circle of Security and Marte Meo training.

Jen values a multi-disciplinary and holistic approach and works collaboratively with other members of the team including educators, psychologists and Speech Pathologists.

Jen has a solid knowledge of child development and is motivated to use her skills and knowledge of sensory processing, child development and relational influences in supporting children and their families. Jen has a particular interest in Sensory Processing difficulties and has undergone post graduate training in Sensory Integration and Sensory Processing Disorders both in the United Kingdom and Australia. It is with this commitment and passion for helping children with Sensory Processing difficulties that has led Jen to establishing and developing her own private practice "Kids Just Right" in 2016.
